MSD
warns of danger to Anandasangaree's life
The Ministerial Security Division has warned TULF Leader V. Anandasangaree
of a possible LTTE threat to his life through an employee at the
TULF office working directly under the rebel group's intelligence
chief Pottu Amman.
A written warning
has been communicated by the MSD to the parliamentarian who is at
loggerheads with some of his own party members. The parliamentarian
has been advised to curtail his movements and strengthen his security.
The suspect,
according to the MSD, has allegedly been hired by a TULF politician
opposed to the beleaguered party leader. The MSD says the suspect
who has been a resident of Mullaitivu since 1983 is an LTTE intelligence
cadre.
He has reportedly
been sent on the instructions of Pottu Amman, the LTTE intelligence
leader. According to the MSD, this employee has unlimited access
to the TULF's office at Dehiwela. Police say investigations are
continuing. |
