Anel
Scintillates at Debug Golf Classic
Friday night at Peach Valley and Saturday afternoon at the Ridgeways
was the beginning of a great weekend for Anel de Silva the most
consistent prize winner at the Royal Colombo Golf Club this year.
In absolute
stunning form the youthful Anel moved into a spell of impeccable
stroke play to crown a cool afternoon with a splendid 2 over par
gross 73. His nett 66 was outstanding and Usha could not agree more
the far better half she is. Anel de Silva will be well recognized
by Debug Computer Peripherals. Arshad Ahamed trailed behind to take
2nd place with a praiseworthy nett 69.
Debug
Moiz Najimudeen the Chief Executive of Debug left the organization
of the sponsorship in the efficient hands of Michelle Nicolle. The
attractive lass completed a massive assignment with the help of
her team bringing much credit to Debug and great satisfaction to
the Royal Colombo Golf Club. She did a helluva job well.
"B"
Division
Toshikazu Inoue had an exceptionally good round of nett
65 the best score of the day to win the Division beating Wender
Shiekh whose nett 68 was praiseworthy.
Other
events
K. Yanagihora struck nett 69 to win beating P.R. Balaratnarajah
on 69 in the "C" Division. The Viennese Waltz Swinger
K.K.U. Perera won the Senior event beating M. Samarathunga and in
the Masters P.R. Balaratnarajah came good in masterly style to take
the crown from Dr. Meevanapalama with a better rear nine. Bala celebrated
like hell I understand.
Miscellaneous
events
Toshikazu Inoue, Anel de Silva and A. Ahamed shared the
award for the best gross score to his system when his ball off the
9th tee stopped dead closest to the pin. In the 6 hidden holes contest
Stuart Ritchie was outstanding.
The Epson Debug
competition was extremely successful with much credit to Michelle
Nicolle their skilful presenter and Public Relations Executive. |
