              Wasanthi is 19-years-old and is a champion sprinter. Her father, 
              Dayaratne being disenchanted with politics has become a bus driver. 
               
              Somalatha his wife is a housewife and his other daughter Deepthi 
              is a courageous young woman.This is the story of the latest teledrama 
              ‘Pawara Menuwara’ 
             The cast in 
              Paw.ara Menuwara includes Jayalth Manoratne, Devika Mihirani, Meena 
              Kumari, Harsha Bulathsinghela, Semini Iddamalgoda, Edward Gunawardena, 
              Nissanka Diddeniya, Badra Nandani Gunawardena, Dharmapriya Dias, 
              Susil Gunaratne and Victor Ramanayake. 
             Dayaratne joins 
              Prematilake an ex-member of parliament and starts election work. 
              Prematilake’s son Ravindra is interested in athletics and 
              music. 
              Prematilake’s supporters (Dayaratne and Nishantha) are abducted 
              by the supporters in the opposition. Dayaratne while escaping falls 
              into the hands of terrorists. Prematilake gets a job for Dayaratne’s 
              wife. 
             Nishantha tries 
              to start an affair with Dayaratne’s wife Somalatha and when 
              she is not willing he makes her lose her job.Ravindra helps them.Ravindra 
              also helps Wasanthi to come to Colombo to improve her athletic skills, 
              Wasanthi loses her sight due to Ravindra’s mother beating 
              her. Wasanthi’s mother takes her home and Ravindra goes abroad. 
             What is Somalatha’s 
              future? How will Wasanthi face life with her blindness?  
              “Pawara Menuwara” on Rupavahini at 8.30 pm on Saturaday. 
              While K. B. Herath wrote the script, K. A. Dharmasena handled the 
              camera. Kumara Galmuruwa edited Pawara Menuwara. It is produced
