‘Samavenna’: Gospel songs from Srilal
‘Samavenna’ is the latest CD of sixteen gospel songs done by Sirilal Medis. This is the third successive effort by him. Gayani Wijesingha, Harshani Wanigasooriya, Champika Mendis, Olympus Perera, Mala Bharathi, Sirilal Medis, Lakmini Peiris, Jagath Peiris and more singers have been featured on this CD.

Sirilal Medis has been doing Christian Musical Programmes in the Radio for the last three to five years and he has done some television programmes too. Sirilal says God has given him the best gift of composing music and he is using it for God.

Sirilal has studied oriental music under the late W.F. Wimalasiri. Sirilal has composed music for some artistes on various occasions. He has composed the interlude for song “Seetha Udaya” the first E.P., also has played the violin for that song.

Lucky Deva, Rohana de Silva, Ananda Lokuliyana, Duram Fernando, Werahera Karunathilaka and Saman Kumara, Chamika Fernando, Priyantha Peiris and the Band ‘Apple Green’ provided music for the songs.
