New
system delays Telecom bills
Due to the introduction of the new billing system customers have
not received their phone bills for nearly two months. Delays in
sending Sri Lanka Telecom bills to customers are now being reduced
and outstanding bills will not be sent together, said the head of
the billing centre D. W. R Wijeweera.
The
period for payment of new bills will be extended while details of
out-going calls would be provided and customers could log on to
the internet to check their accounts.
"
We accept customers' complaints. We ask them to kindly bear with
us as we are trying to give them the best possible service"
he said. Delays are inevitable when implementing a new billing system,
Mr. Wijeweera said. |
