RCGC gears up for big event today
The Royal Colombo Golf Club's 125th anniversary celebrations, which commence on August 15, will be exclusively featured on CNN Living Golf in a 30-minute program.

CNN Living Golf is transmitted internationally every Monday at 9.30 p.m. GMT and reaches 165 million households.
A three-member CNN TV production team - Justin Armsden, Don Riddell and James Stacey - will fly to Colombo on August 12 and spend five days focusing on the Royal Colombo Golf Club's 125th celebrations and Sri Lanka's unique attractions for the international traveller.

The CNN Living Golf TV program produced in Colombo will be broadcast a minimum four times in a single month and will provide the broadcaster's huge international audience with dramatic images of golf and the island's special appeal as a golfing and travel destination.
Following is the Royal Colombo Golf Club's 125th anniversary celebrations program.

Programme of events:
Sunday 15th August 2004 - Hoisting of flags lighting of the oil lamp, Entertainment & reception.
Monday 16th August 2004 - Golf, Relax & Sight seeing.
Tuesday 17th August 2004 - The Masters Tournament. Reception for Visitors by His Excellency Stephen Evans, The UK High Commissioner at Westminster House.

Wednesday 18th August 2004 - Stable ford Tournament. Thursday 19th August 2004 - The Ladies & Juniors Tournament, Award Ceremony, Entertainment & Dinner Hosted by Dialog GSM.

Friday 20th August 2004 - 125th Anniversary Trophy Competition - 1st Day's Play.
Saturday 21st August 2004 - 125th Anniversary Trophy Competition - 2nd Day's Play, Banquets & Award's ceremony at the Colombo Hilton.
