Microsoft
supports ASOCIO 2004 as main sponsor
Microsoft, the world's leading software provider, will lend its
muscle to the ASOCIO 2004 summit next week as its diamond sponsor.
The
ASOCIO ICT Summit and Exhibition will be held in Colombo from November
30 to December 5 and has been declared a national event by the government.
As
a driving force behind the Sri Lankan IT industry, Microsoft's sponsorship
of ASOCIO is being seen by industry specialists as a major boost
to local industry. The vast knowledge and strength of Microsoft
as the global leader in software provision will enable the company
to transfer knowledge and expertise as well as other resources to
the local industry, the company said in a statement.
Microsoft
will be represented at ASOCIO 2004 by high caliber Microsoft global
experts. Among them are Ken Wye Saw, Regional Director for South
East Asia who is due to make a keynote address on "The Technology
Landscape: Making IT matter" and Faycal Bouchlaghem, Director,
Business Development of Microsoft, Singapore. |
