Star Combination at Otters New Year bash
The popular band Nalin & The Star Combination will be in action at the Otters Aquatic Club for New Years Eve Dance 2004, dishing out their exciting sound.

The Star Combination goes five piece for all the special functions during this season. According to Nalin, they are having a tight schedule playing for dances, weddings and other get-togethers.

‘Our music and songs are well balanced. We cater to all kind of audiences a’ Nalin said. The many years of experience and wide repertoire speak for their success as a correct combination. Led by Nalin Fernando, who is an accomplished musician, versatile and well known in the Sri Lankan Music scene.

‘The secret behind our success is a type of music we play. With a repertoire of golden oldies, country & Western, to rock and roll, bailas and Sinhala pop, our audiences range from teenagers to senior citizens’ Nalin said.

Since late the band has gainged the popularity in the music scene and has become one of the most sorted out acts in Colombo. Nalin & The Star Combination are currently performing at Galadari Hotel and Golden Mile in Mount Lavinia on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively.

“It is our practice and hard work that has helped us to achieve our goals” added Nalin. Playing for weddings is their forte. The band comprises, Nalin Fernando - Leader(Guitar/vocals), Shirmila Fonseka - female vocals, Dilantha Silva on Keyboards, Hirushke Fernando (Guitar/vocals) and Gayhan on Conga.
