‘Siththam Sisila’ from Jayantha
‘Siththam Sisila’, the second exhibition of paintings by artist Jayantha Tissera will be held at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on February 5,6 and 7. His first exhibition ‘Theli Thudaka Rahas’ was held in April last year and the experience and the knowledge earned from his maiden show will be used to have a more successful exhibition, this year, he said.

‘In my first exhibition at Art Gallery, I learnt a lot. The drawing part is my hobby and that is not that difficult. But to organizing an exhibition is very hard task. I went through the mill last time and managed to overcome most of the problems this time,’ Jayantha said.

Jayantha is a technical officer attached to the Bank of Ceylon Merchant Tower in Kollupitiya. His main style of painting is modern! This year he has selected canvas and oil paint as his main medium of painting.

‘Most of my pictures are in 3’x2 metre range and almost every idea is from the reality world’ he said. About 30 paintings will be there at the ‘Siththam Sisila’. I have spent more than 10 months to complete that he added. ‘Siththam Sisila’ is sponsored by ‘Multilac’
