US Warner Bros, Atlas in exercise deal
Ceylon Pencil Company Ltd has introduced a series of eye-catching exercise books with a new appearance for school children for the current school term under its Atlas logo (trade mark).

Warner Brother cartoons loved by students as well as pictures of the environment and important places of cultural value adorn the covers of these exercise books, the company said in a statement.

These cartoons are world famous for their appeal and ingenuity. Famous characters in these cartoons like 'Bugs Bunny', 'Daffy Duck', 'Sylvester', 'Tweety', 'Tasmanian Devil', and 'K-9' now adorn the covers of exercise books in terms of a mutual trade agreement signed between Warner Brothers and the Ceylon Pencil Company Ltd.

Atlas exercise books are made of milk white; smudge free100% offset ruled paper. The covers of laminated series of books are of 56GSM width while covers of books with Warner Brothers Cartoons are of 60 GSM widths. The company produces over 400 varieties of school instruments (stationary) that are widely distributed in the local market.

The official launching of the new series of Atlas exercise books was held at Ananda College Colombo recently. Principal of Ananda College B. A. Abeyratne and Deputy Principal M. Ponnamperuma attended the function on behalf of the school while Assistant General Manager Nilan Silva and Project Manager (Exercise Books) Vijitha Kumara participated on behalf of Ceylon Pencil Company Ltd.
