Royal crash at Moratuwa
Royal succumbed to their second defeat of the season when they lost
to Prince of Wales College by six wickets at Moratuwa yesterday.
After crashing to 156 all out in reply to the POW's first innings
total of 32, Royal looked as if they were back on track at 152 for
3 in the afternoon session. However after the departure of skipper
Dimithri Siriwardena in the afternoon session the visitors folded
up to 234 all out leaving the lads of Moratuwa a target of 70 runs
to make in 14 overs which they did for the loss of four wickets.

drawn inter-school encounter at Campbell Park yesterday.

run out of steam
The inter school match between Ananda and Dharmarajah
ended in an exciting draw at Ananda grounds yesterday.
Ananda who were set a target of 153 runs to win in 22 overs were
tottering at 46 for 8 when stumps were drawn.
Ananda
resuming from their overnight score of 165 for 5 scored 247 with
P. Udawatte stroking a brilliant 100 of 95 balls. Dharmarajah were
bowled out for 159 in their second innings with opening bat with
C. Bandara top scoring with 60.

The Elpehant Lemonade inter-school cricket match between
Sri Sumangala and Mahanama College at the Panadura Esplanade ended
in a draw. The highlight of the match was a fine 104 by Sumangala's
Shammika Heshan inclusive of 16 boundaries and one six.
