Four MPs left for the United States of America on Friday on a week's
visit as a part of their work on the Parliamentary select committee
on natural disasters, which would include a visit to the Pacific
Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) in Hawaii.
The
delegation comprises the committee chairman Mahinda Samarasinghe,
Muthu Sivalingam, John Amaratunga and Wijedasa Rajapakse. The committee
members earlier visited Singapore on a similar educational tour.
