1. Prince Manavamma had organized an army and was ready to leave
for Sri Lanka. King Narasinghe came to wish him good-bye.

Awards 2005 for Young Achievers
The National Dirijaya Awards 2005 Ceremony was held on the February
28, 2006 at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo. Many awards were presented
to talented differently-abled persons for achievements under the
categories of Academic, Professional, Entrepreneurship, Sports,
Creative and Performing Arts and also special awards.
- It
happened in March
March 15, 1802 marks the day when the Government
Gazette came to be printed as a regular weekly publication. It
was, in fact, considered as a newspaper at a time when there was
no newspaper printed in Ceylon, as the country was then called.
