‘Horu
Samaga’ Prasanna to go on the boards
'Horu Samaga Heluwen', Prasanna Vithanage's Sinhala adaptation of
two Dario Fo plays, will go on the boards at 3.30 pm and 7.00 p.m.on
March 12 at Elphinstone Theatre, Maradana.
The
play, comprising two one-act plays by Italian Nobel laureate Fo,
features an impressive lineup of players from the Sinhala theatre,
including Jayalath Manoratne, Dayadeva Edirisinghe, Saumya Liyanage,
Jayani Senanayaka, Gayani Gisanthika, Gihan Fernando, Prasad Sooriyarachchi,
Wasantha Weerakkody (who also doubles as Costume Designer) and Hashinika
Karaliyadde.
Tharupathi
Munasinghe is in charge of the original music for the play.
Buddadasa Galappatti, a veteran in the field, will do the makeup
while Jude Srimal is the show's organiser. 'Horu Samaga Heluwen'
is produced by Rohan Samarawickrema
