‘Buzz’ once and ‘Clique’ twice at the ‘Mega Buzz’ The British Council invites book lovers to ‘Buzz’ once and ‘Clique’ twice, on Monday, May 22 at 6 p.m. for the biggest literature celebration event in Colombo. The ‘Book Buzz’ series that kept literature lovers alive for the past year is now celebrating its first birthday, while WriteClique.net, the website that offered a virtual home for over 375 writers from Sri Lanka, India, UK, Australia, USA, Canada, Bahrain, Singapore, Poland, France, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand is celebrating its second! Born as a result of WriteClique.net, the ‘Book Buzz’ series fulfilled the expectations of its audience as the numbers grew and faces changed from one event to another. The WriteClique.net website is now ready to take on a new look as it gets ready to celebrate its second anniversary. Targeting a wider audience the new-look site will retain all the elements that made WriteClique a success while adding a whole host of new features. Admission to the Mega Buzz event is by invitation only. Call over at the British Council from May 16 onwards to collect an invitation. Invitations are given out on a first-come first- served basis. |
