Sports - Thilanka, does Ananda proud

A.L.A. Thilanka Deshapriya of Kottawa Ananda Vidyalaya, who was adjudged Best Athlete in the Under 11 Boys’ category, bagged first place in three events, the Boys’ 100 metres, Long Jump and the High Jump.

At the Inter-Divisional competition he was placed second in the 100 meteres and second in the Long Jump event. In addition, at the Regional competition he obtained first place in the High Jump event and qualified for the Provincial competition.

Thilanka is coached by Sampath Kusumsiri under the supervision of Sports Teacher Miss. H.G.D. Sudarshani Wickremasekera.
