Lankem Paints ties
up with world’s largest coatings firm
Lankem Paints Ltd last week, joined hands with
the Netherlands-based industry giant Akzo Nobel to introduce its
flagship 2 K automotive paints - Sikkens and Lesonal - to the local
market.
These auto refinish products are specially formulated
as Chromate-free and Cyanide-free products, strengthening Akzo Nobel’s
commitment towards the end user as well as the environment.
They have a faster drying time, more coverage,
high glossy finish for better protection and long life to the surface,
compared to most other auto refinishes.
Designed for use in a wide variety of conditions,
they are easy to apply, easy to polish, and come in simple mixing
ratios, thus eliminating waste, a company statement said.
General Manager of Lankem Paints Ruwan T. Weerasinghe
said their main objective is to provide a better quality product
at all times to the local market. “As we have done with our
flagship brand, Robbialac, this tie-up with Akzo Nobel, enables
us to let Sri Lankan consumers experience a premium quality 2K Auto
refinish at an affordable price,” he added.
Akzo Nobel’s Manager International Trade
(Auto Refinish) Subash Sodeshi said, “Sikkens and Lesonal
are two of the world’s leaders in the car refinish market.
Through our products, our practical training, technical expertise
and constant innovation, we help our partners build their business
in many different ways. We are confident that Lankem Paints as a
company is best geared to suit our customers’ needs. This
will indeed be a rewarding experience to both parties.”
