New SLMM spokesman

Mr. Thorfinnur Omarsson, took over as the new spokesman of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission last Thursday.

He has a strong journalistic background that spans over 15 years and has worked extensively in Europe. Mr. Omarsson took leave from NFS TV Channel, part of the largest television network in Iceland, where he worked a Senior News Editor, to take up the post In Colombo.

He speaks nine languages including French, German, Italian, Danish and Swedish.
