The Livelihood Division of the Reconstruction

to expedite livelihood restoration in the tsunami affected areas.
RAIC has agreed to provide resin transfer moulding,
light megaject sprinter equipments, accessories, spareparts, mother
moulds, deck moulds, necessary fiberglass (mat and woven and in
rolls), resins, gelcoat and materials for the construction of fiberglass

its boat yard at Mattakkuliya in Colombo and Unawatuna in Galle.
Sri Lanka’s fishing industry was badly affected
after the tsunami, which claimed the lives of over 5,000 fishermen.
Tens of thousands affiliated to the fishing industry lost their
homes and livelihoods. According to government estimates, 54% of
the country’s fishing fleet was destroyed by the tsunami.
