Kandy took a step closer to retaining their league title with an extremely hard fought – 21 points ( 1 goal, 1 try, 2 penalties, 1 drop goal) to 18 (1 goal, 1 try, 1 penalty, 1 drop goal) in over the CH and FC at Nittawela, at lemons it was the CH who led 12-5.The lead changed hands many a time in this engrossing contest. Nilufer Ibrahim and Fazil Marija dumped the trees for the winners and Nalaka Weerakkody added the extra points.

For the CH, Malawana and Rukshan Wijesinghe went over while Saliya Kumara put over the conversions.
