Dr Perera’s tips on a holistic lifestyle to
prevent stress
Stress is the buzzword today and if anyone is keen
to find out the importance of a Holistic Lifestyle Concept to prevent
and managing stress that leads to deadly disease such as diabetes,
heart disease, cancer etc, then the Feng Shui seminar organised
by The Sunday Times Business Club should not be missed, says Dr
Damayanthi Perera, a Specialist in Nutrition, Dietetics & Lifestyle

to western medicine and nutrition, diet and lifestyle modification
is the first line of treatment for preventing and managing such
chronic diseases.
“Unfortunately many unwittingly, resort
to unnecessary over medication,” she said.
The professionally qualified Nutritionist with
a doctorate in Human Nutrition from the University of London and
an Alumnus of the prestigious, London School of Hygiene & Tropical
Medicine will be making a presentation on “Holistic Lifestyle
for Health, Happiness & Longevity” at this Saturday’s
Feng Shui seminar where the main resource person is Feng Shui expert
S.B.S. Surendran from India at the Trans Asia Hotel.
Dr Perera is the only ‘practicing’
nutritionist in Sri Lanka with a doctorate in Human Nutrition and
also qualified in Dietetics, but she is also a firm believer that
western medicine should be complemented with certain time tested,
eastern traditional practices such as Reiki, meditation, yoga etc
to achieve a balanced lifestyle.
