Ceylinco Life donates tube wells in Embilipitiya,
Moneragala
Two remote dry zone villages in Embilipitiya and
Moneragala are the latest beneficiaries from the Tube Wells Project
of life insurance leader Ceylinco Life.
Diyapota (Omalpe) and Iththekatuwa, where water
for drinking and washing is scarce, have each received a tube well
under the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme,
the company said.

The tube wells costing Rs 500,000 were installed
as one of the key elements of a portfolio of CSR initiatives implemented
under the 'Ceylinco Nava Jeevana' banner. Ceylinco Life has also
already provided tube wells to several other needy villages including
Sandagala and Gothamigramaya, two remote villages in Tissamaharama
and Kataragama respectively as well as to Nochchiyagama, Kokunnawa
and Ranorava under this project.
Ceylinco Life's commitment to corporate social
responsibility has been recognized internationally with the company
being adjudged the best in CSR among insurance companies in Asia
last year by Asia Insurance Review.
