Lankan to address top jewellery show in London
Rizwan Nayeem, a qualified Sri Lanka accountant
and MBA graduate, has been invited to speak at the prestigious International
Jewellery London (IJL) in September 2006. IJL is the largest jewellery
show in the United Kingdom held every year at the Earls Court, London.

Nayeem said he will address the Retail Business
Forum focused on the local and international retail jewellers –
presenting the research work that he published in the UK titled
‘Nine Steps to Retail Success’. The research included
evaluation of the competitive environment and business strategies
of leading retail UK jewellers such as Cartier and DeBeers LVMH,
and led to the development of innovative strategies for success
in jewellery retailing.
With business experience and intimate knowledge
of jewellery retailing, having grown up serving customers of family’s
stores in Sri Lanka, Nayeem has a unique combination of skills to
complement his expertise in the jewellery industry. He has many
years experience in Financial Management in an international environment
as an FCCA and FCMA.
He also has wide industry experience in Strategy
development and Mergers & Acquisitions consolidated with an
MBA from the prestigious Cranfield School of Management.
This together with a lifelong exposure and skills
developed in the Jewellery business has led to his success as a
consultant to the sector.
The Sri Lankan was recently admitted as a Committee
member of the Alumni Association of the Gemmological Institute of
America (GIA) - London, on successful completion of their Diamond
Grading programme and in recognition of his professional standing
in the jewellery industry in the UK. |
