Nayeem said he will address the Retail Business Forum focused on the local and international retail jewellers – presenting the research work that he published in the UK titled ‘Nine Steps to Retail Success’. The research included evaluation of the competitive environment and business strategies of leading retail UK jewellers such as Cartier and DeBeers LVMH, and led to the development of innovative strategies for success in jewellery retailing.

With business experience and intimate knowledge of jewellery retailing, having grown up serving customers of family’s stores in Sri Lanka, Nayeem has a unique combination of skills to complement his expertise in the jewellery industry. He has many years experience in Financial Management in an international environment as an FCCA and FCMA.

He also has wide industry experience in Strategy development and Mergers & Acquisitions consolidated with an MBA from the prestigious Cranfield School of Management.

This together with a lifelong exposure and skills developed in the Jewellery business has led to his success as a consultant to the sector.

The Sri Lankan was recently admitted as a Committee member of the Alumni Association of the Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) - London, on successful completion of their Diamond Grading programme and in recognition of his professional standing in the jewellery industry in the UK.
