Mobitel to double value post-paid market
DOUBLE M not only offers customers a choice,
but also a path to freedom away from irrelevant service charges
Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel – the National
GSM Mobile Service Provider – last week offered a range of
DOUBLE M post-paid packages, an innovative offering to hopefully
meet the growing needs of the evolving Post-paid package user.
“By launching this groundbreaking package
to the people, Sri Lanka’s National GSM Mobile Service Provider
has again identified an existing service gap and provided an offering
which is both customer-centric and revolutionary in its concept
as it breaks down barriers for customers in this segment.
DOUBLE M not only offers customers a choice, but
also a path to freedom away from irrelevant service charges,”
the company said.
Mobitel Chief Executive Officer, Suren J. Amarasekera,
said, “We are excited about it, DOUBLE M is a breakthrough
product innovation for the category and it offers real value to
our subscribers.
“The post-paid market is going to completely
change with this innovative product offering, just like it did in
the pre-paid sector with the introduction of SMART 5.7”
There are more benefits to using DOUBLE M. Subscribers
will also benefit from absolutely free incoming and no daily rentals.
Meanwhile, all subscribers will also be entitled to FREE Caller
Line Identification (CLI), Missed Call Alert services, and detailed
billing (outgoing) services as well.
In instances where the usage of a subscriber exceeds
his/her monthly entitlement, the additional usage will be charged
at Rs. 5 per call (outgoing), Rs. 2 per SMS and Rs. 5 per MMS. However,
Incoming to any network will remain absolutely free.
“DOUBLE M follows the successful launch
of Smart 5 from Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel which was an innovative
offering to the pre-paid market. SMART 5 broke down the barriers
to mobile telephony for a vast cross section of Sri Lankans from
every corner of the island and recorded resounding success exceeding
all company expectations,” the statement added.
