SLIM’s Brand Excellence awards in October
Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) is holding
its prestigious SLIM Brand Excellence awards for the 5th consecutive
year on October 5 in Colombo.
The Institute will be recognizing and rewarding
brands in two main categories as the Product brand of the year and
Service brand of the year. The brand, which obtains the highest
marks from those two main categories, will be awarded as the prestigious
“Brand of the year”. The person who is responsible to
achieve this success will be rewarded as the “Brand Champion”.
Apart from that there are six special awards categories
to evaluate brand performance on different aspects: Local brand
of the year, International brand of the year, Turn around brand
of the year, Innovative brand of the year and Best new entrant of
the year.
“This year we have introduced an exclusively
category to reward small business brands which the annual turnover
of the company is less than Rs 50 million per annum. The main objective
of this is to help those local small brands to practice the brand
building process systematically to get their due recognition and
enhance their brand marketing,” SLIM said.
