HSBC customers on Kitulgala adventure
HSBC Global Markets recently introduced risk management
to customers in a creative manner when they took a group of 30 selected
customers to Kitulgala for a day of adventure, learning, and entertainment.

At Kitulgala, the customers were divided into five
teams and the adventure began with a long discussion and briefing
regarding the challenges they would be facing during the course
of the day, followed by a river crossing, a four-kilometre trek
through the jungle that led to the beach by the Kitulgala river,
white water rafting and a race to their final destination.
“Our aim was to illustrate that risk loses
its formidability when our clients have the right information, the
right tools and the right people at hand.
This day was aimed at helping customers experience
and understand how to proactively face and manage risk while maximising
profit, helping them to gain an actual perspective of risk and reward
– with the right people,” said Sachith Perera, Treasurer
Sri Lanka, HSBC Global Markets.
