*Questions are asked why this high profile woman athlete pulled out from her events on the advice of her coach after she had collected her SAG running kit.

A little bird whispers that the pullout was more due to two Indian athletes having better timing than her rather than her injury.

* It is reported that the first lady received her invitation only on the day of the opening and this oversight had displeased the prez family. The excuse give was that the invitation part of the games was handled by a novice.

*The entire local and foreign media were put into disarray at one point when the security officers closed the media unit of the SAG following reports that the stripe-types were trying to enter the games posing off as journos with Information Ministry credentials.

*Who is the wise guy who is waiting to distribute the neck ties made for the SAG after the event? They say this tie may have little value after the event.

* It seems that the president was also not happy with the manner in which short-eats were served to VVIPs at the opening. They were given a piece of cake, a banana and a sandwich put in a “silisili bag” which was placed in a box. Inquiries reveal that the officer in charge of short-eats had given contract to a “gamey bakery” owned by a friend.

* It is also said that some games officials are making a pot of ‘gold’. We now learn that an inquiry is on the way straight after the games.
