| NCC to felicitate Lankan Cricketers One of Sri Lankas Premier Cricket clubs the Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) will felicitate the four Lankan Cricketers who re-wrote the record books recently at a specially organized ceremony at the club on Wednesday. Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara who created a new world record in test cricket with a 624 run partnership and Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya who added 286 runs for the first wicket in a one dayer in England will be felicitated by NCC.In addition NCC will also felicitate the four NCC cricketers who toured England Kumar Sangakkara, Upul Tharanga, Lasith Malinga and Russell Arnold. Former NCC and Sri Lanka captain Hashan Tilakaratne who retired from the game will also be honoured by his club. NCC will also honour Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas for their magnificent performances in England and also skipper Marvan Atapattu for his contribution to Sri Lanka Cricket.
