Ericsson, Dialog’s GSM expansion partner

Ericsson will supply the major portion of Dialog’s 2006 GSM network expansion, both core and radio access network equipment, and deployment and integration services.

The GSM expansion is being undertaken to cover Colombo and rural markets, Dialog said.

The current expansion contract will enable Dialog Telekom to expand coverage in rural areas and strengthen its market leadership position while addressing a new market segment.
