Sampath enhances ATM service new features

Sampath Bank Ltd has enhanced its automated teller machine (ATM) service facility by implementing a specialised ATM switching and card management system from Interblocks, which runs on Oracle Database with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), the bank said.

Deployed in 2005 across all 120 ATMs of Sampath Bank in Sri Lanka, the powerful combination of Interblocks' iSwitch® and Oracle RAC has allowed Sampath Bank to offer its customers specialised services such as immediate ATM Card issuance, personal identification number change at ATMs, utility bill payments, transfer of funds to fixed deposits, credit card payments and withdrawals and viewing and printing of mini-statements.

It has also enabled Sampath Bank with functionalities such as dynamic customer and ATM profiling, centralized management of advertising and messaging and centralized, on-line real time control of ATMs.
