Ceylinco Development Bank marks 11years in business

Ceylinco Development Bank, the development banking arm of Ceylinco consolidated, is celebrating 11 years of nurturing Sri Lankan entrepreneurs. CDB’s 11th anniversary celebrations were marked by the re-launch of ‘Profit & Loss’, a CSR project that works on a financing scheme for micro businesses. The first awardees of this re-launched scheme were felicitated by Deputy Chairman, R. Renganathan.

This scheme, providing financial assistance to micro businesses will be channeled through all CDB branches in Negombo, Moratuwa, Kurunegala, Kelaniya, Kandy, Gampaha, Chilaw, Rathnapura and Badulla, the bank said.

The unique aspect of CDB Profit & Loss is the proactive involvement of all employees of the Bank, as it is they who will nominate the eligible participants. Once evaluated, the employees are tasked with building close relationships with the recipients and ensuring that financing received is utilized judiciously to build and develop the business. Continuous follow up of repayment, progress of business and further assistance to develop the business will also be monitored very closely.
