Colombo-Kandy traffic restrictions

Travel along the Colombo–Kandy highway would be restricted on September 26 due to the 47th and 6th death commemorations of the late Premiers S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike and Sirimavo Bandaranaike taking place at the Horagolla Samadhi from 7 am to 10 am, Police inform the public.

Those coming from Kandy to Colombo should divert from Pasyala junction and head to the city via Attanagalla, Urapola, Kirindiwela, Dikkanda and Yakkala.

Those Kandy bound should divert from Kalagedihena junction and proceed via Dadagamuwa, Veyangoda and Nittambuwa.

Those going to Kandy from Veyangoda should turn off at Pasyala and proceed to Malleheva via Mirigama.
