Piano and Cello Concert by Shani Diluka
and her husband Eric-Marie Couturier will come alive
in Kandy on October 15.
The duo will perform at the Engineering
Faculty Auditorium, of Peradeniya University on Sunday
at 7.00pm. The performances by Shani and Eric in Sri
Lanka is on an invitation extended by Alliance Francaise
and French Embassy.
Born in Monacco, of Sri Lankan origin,
Shani is the only one from the Indian sub Continent
to have entered into the Conservatoire National Superior
de Musique in Paris and recognised by the great musicians
of today such as Leon Fleisher, Murray Perahia, Christoph
Eschenbach, Maria Joao Pires and Menahem Pressler. She
is beyond any doubt a top world class Pianist.
Shani's husband Éric-Maria
Couturier is a specialist in cello. Éric-Maria
studied cello and chamber music at the Conservatoire
National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and graduated
with the jury's unanimous highest honors.
