The Interact Club of Royal College
has been organising this competition over the past few
years which has attracted a lot of young artistes aspiring
to make it big in their respective fields. With each
passing year, the Colombo semi-final has attracted more
and more crowds.
The organisers say that the competition
seems to be tough between participants in each category.
The categories with the most number of participants
seem to be for band, solo singing and group singing,
they note.
They assert that even though some
participants may not get the opportunity to enter the
final stage of the competition, they are left with a
good experience in presenting their talents to the public.
The Interactors say that having organised Talent Search
for the past eleven years, they have been proved right;
there is a lot of talent among the Sri Lankan youth
which is yet to be uncovered.
The finalists will be announced within
two days of the Colombo semi-finals.
The Interact Club of Royal College
acknowledge the support of the Interact Clubs of Trinity
College and St. Anthony's College in Kandy for the co-operation
extended in organising the Kandy semi-finals which was
successfully held on September 30 at the St. Anthony's
College Hall.
