Trinity
hang on for a draw
By Aubrey Kuruppu
The Sylvestarians did most of the
running in their match against Trinity at the Asgiriya
stadium, but a couple of missed chances and some sensible
batting by the late order thwarted their bid for victory.
Enjoying a 73 lead overnight, the
Sylvestarians lost wickets cheaply. Ravi Karunaratne,
with a brisk 42 and Feshal with a solid half century
saw their side to a respectable 178.
Joachim, reprieved twice early on,
batted confidently thereafter to top score with 53.
Pathirana made a quick-fire 22 but with his exit the
game was closed up.
