Sithumina Golden Jubilee

Sithumina Vidyalaya, Bowalawatte, Kandy, celebrated their Golden Jubilee on October 2, 2006. A two-day Educational and Agriculatural Exhibition was inaugurated as part of the anniversary celebrations. All those who have generously contributed towards the development of the school were felicitated.

The following activities have been planned for the Jubilee Year.

* An art competition for the students of the village schools in the neighbourhood.

* Educational revision seminars for O’ Level students of Sithumina as well as nearby schools.

* Leadership training programme for prefects and senior students

* A programme to instill moral values and good habits in students.

* A staff development programme.
