Cliff coming;
put on your dancing shoes
World famous singer Sir Cliff Richard
is coming and will perform his first-ever show on Sri
Lankan soil at the Exhibition and Convention Centre
on February 23.
The Peter Pan of pop music is, undoubtedly,
one of the most loved international entertainers, and
starts another gruelling World Tour on November 4 with
a 23-show tour of Britain– all major arenas –
before heading out to West Asia, South and Southeast
Asia and finishing up in Europe in March.

The Here & Now tour, his first
in four years, has sold out in Britain while promoters
in the Asian region have always enjoyed a full turnout
whenever Sir Cliff ventured out to the East.
Judging by the level of interest in
the show, local promoters are confident of a full house
at the Convention Centre.
The man behind such memorable hits
like Young Ones,, Congratulations, Bachelor Boy, Summer
Holiday, Lucky Lips, We Don’t Talk Anymore, Do
You Wanna Dance, Wired For Sound and Millennium Prayer,
to name a few, marks the 50th anniversary of his first
hit song, Move It, in 2008.
The singing Knight, who is also an
award-winning wine producer, turns 66 next Saturday!
His latest album, Two’s Company,
featuring duets with other music stars, is set for release
in November. Among the tracks is a new version of Move
It, with the legendary Brian May of Queen, and ex-Shadow
drummer Brian Bennett, featuring prominently. May describes
it as “the stuff that will turn heads!”
