‘Kawya’: Drama with Indian consultants

'Kawya', is a soap drama produced with the consultation with Indian technicians telecast over Sirasa channel. Produced by the Talent Factory, the production company attached MTV, the teledrama's consultant director is Indian director Rakesh Shinha while camera is handled by Indian cameraman Pinjala.

‘The first schedule of the teledrama series with twenty episodes will be made under the Indians' consultation while the second schedule would followed by the local crew’.

Chandana Suriyabandara, the General Manager of the Talent Factory which is responsible many soap dramas told the TV Times.

The local co-directors of 'Kawya' are M. Safrash and Pulina Edirisinghe and the Sri Lankan cameraman is Wasantha Jayalath. Gihan Hasantha Galpaya has joined the technical crew as editor while S. Udawatte is the production manager.

Revolving around ‘Kaawya’, young girl who faces an unexpected incident on her wedding day telecast from Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm.

‘Kaawya’ is in love with Kamal and they know each other for five years. The happy young couple finally decided to marry with the blessings of their parents and other relatives. On their wedding day Kamal the bridegroom does not turn up for the marriage ceremony.

Searching for Kamal, ‘Kaawya’ is told that he could not marry as he is already married to someone else. Everybody is shocked and bewildered. Who could be Kamal's bride? What ‘Kaawya’'s future would be?
