Another Jim Reeves special on 'Musical Gems'

‘Musical Gems’ broadcast over the airwaves of the Commercial Service of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corportaion fortnightly on Sundays from 1.30 to 2.30 pm in its endeavour to feature and promote Sri Lankan Musical Personalities and accommodate International Stars.

‘Musical Gems’ will focus attention on another 'Jim Reeves Show' today from 1.30 to 2.30 pm.

According to Bevil Palihawadana the Presenter and the Brainchilld of 'Musical Gems' pride of place will be given whenever possible to feature evergreen stars of the calibre of Jim Reeves and Elvis Presley in view of the great demand they generate from the listeners.

Today's ‘Jim Reeves Special' will feature some songs seldom heard over the airways.

The programme will be presented in association with Jim Reeves Fan Club of Sri Lanka.

According the President of the Fan Club Jayaratne Perera there is a growing demand and a tremendous response for 'Gentleman Jim' in Sri Lanka.
