Professor at CIMA symposium
Held for the second successive year, this is
the flagship technical event for CIMA members and the Sri Lankan
business community. Based on the theme “Driving superior performance”
this premier event will consider how finance professionals can be
key players in driving their organisations forward toward business
excellence.
Prof. Michael Bromwich, CIMA Professor of Accounting
and Financial Management at the London School of Economics and Political
Science, will deliver the keynote speech at the CIMA Technical Symposium
2006.

Prof. Brownwich’s keynote address will focus
on striking the correct balance between conformance and performance.
He will argue that it is planning for the future, and not controlling
the past which is crucial to future success. He will discuss the
significance to enterprise governance of strategy, strategic management
accounting, culture, incentives, the balanced scorecard, the Strategic
Scorecard™, OFR and the management of risk and change to achieve
superior performance.
The keynote speaker is a world-renowned expert
