A World War One poem survives
“In Flander’s fields” dating defile,
Of scarlet poppies growing wild!
Thus, the poppy symbol of 1920’s
Saluting the CEASEFIRE of 1918
On the eleventh day
Of the eleventh month
at eleven GMT.
Perhaps wars are not forever!
