Ragama CC tightened their grip over Bloomfield
after having a set back in the morning session of play on day two
of their Premier League cricket encounter played at Reid Avenue
yesterday.

Earlier in the day Ragama CC who were sitting pretty
on 171 for 4 were in for a shock when Sri Lanka’s right arm
pacie Farveez Maharoof with a seven wicket haul ran through the
batting with a hostile spell of bowling to send them reeling to
220 ending with figures of 7 for 73.
Maharoof who had expensive figures of 2 for 52
grabbed five more wickets for just 21 runs with Ragama CC being
able to add only another 49 runs whilst losing the remaining six
wickets. Man in form Indika de Saram who was unbeaten on 80 added
33 more runs to remain unbeaten on 113, apart from that the rest
of the batsmen were able to add only 16 runs.
