CT Properties launches GS Tower in Kotahena

CT Properties Ltd this week launched its latest venture into the property development market, with a traditional ground breaking ceremony of the GS Tower. The Tower is a commercial, entertainment and residential complex at Kotahena, and will have a main building featuring 36 levels and a second one of 30 levels.

The company said in a press release that the new complex is to be located at the intersection of George R De Silva Mawatha and K B Cyril Perera Mawatha with easy access to main roads out of Colombo.

With spectacular views of the Colombo Harbour, Sea and Colombo city, this apartment and commercial complex features 240 spacious apartment units of varying sizes, along with many shops, offices, cinemas, and other amenities. The residential area also features recreational facilities such as swimming pool, club house, gym, and function halls which will be exclusive to apartment owners. “At a cost of around 4.2 billion rupees, the site of the proposed towers has a gross floor area of 620,000 sq. ft. While individual apartments will have floor areas from 1,100 to 1,550 sq. ft, the duplexes will be more spacious from between 2,000 to 2,800 sq. ft,” the release said.

The complex is expected to be completed in approximately 42 months from the date of commencement of construction work. CT Properties is also involved in two other projects in the residential sector - the ‘Empire’, and ‘CT Gardens’. The Empire project at Braybrooke place and is an exclusive, high end residential complex of two towers rising from a common Podium Level while CT Gardens in Piliyandala is a housing project with units of 1100 sq. ft. to 2500 sq. ft. in extent.
