Hand it over
By The Scribe

As the New Year looms ahead, I was thinking of a few things we could do (or in some cases, not do) in 2007, that just seem to make sense. Nothing too profound or high flown…just simple, day to day things that can make a world of difference in our approach to life in the New Year! So, please do bear with me as my thoughts for the coming year unfold.

Keeping in touch
Dear TPH,
I am a 16-year-old girl from Colombo. Recently I joined www.myspace.com and found it very interesting because I think it is a very good way for friends to keep in touch. It is much more interesting than e-mail because now I can share pictures and make comments about my friends for everyone to see. Then one of my friends invited me to join another 'social networking' website called Hi5 which is also like myspace.com, but I just want to choose one of them because it's very confusing to be a member of two social networks. Can you tell me which site is better, Hi5 or Myspace?

Be resolute about those resolutions
By Ishani Ranasinghe

Every year as the fire crackers light up the sky and we wish each other a happy new year, we all make a pact with ourselves to either do something better or to avoid doing a certain something.
This is what we call new year resolutions – we all make them. But do we keep to them? Not really. Sometimes it's just too hard or just not something that is important. So one month into the year, resolutions are forgotten and we are indulging in what ever we kept away from (after all we do have to make up for lost time don't we?)
