Lankan rowers do well

The Sri Lanka’s rowing team did extremely well to be placed second at the Karachi Regatta held recently. In the Fours they were placed third, while in the pairs they grabbed second place. The Lankans were also runners up in the Double Sculls and were third in the Sculls. Five teams competed in this event.

Meanwhile according to Club Captain Chanaka Wickremasuriya the event of 2007 will be held in February or March. Many teams are expected to take part in what is appropriately called the Inaugural Regatta. -HJ
