Srilakvahini joint venture with Yamal

Rohan Welivita, the Chairman of the Srilakvahini Satellite Television Channel, had a special meeting with the owners of Yamal Satellite Network Igor Kot, who is also the Deputy General Director of the Russian Company Gascom and Director - International Trade Relations Ms Victoria Loda at the Telecom 2006 Exhibition held in Hong Kong recently.

Srilakvahini uses Yamal Satellite for telecasting its services. The two parties signed an agreement to commence a Satellite Radio Broadcasting service from Sri Lanka using satellite and to provide a number of services via Yamal satellite for the benefit of Sri Lankans.
