MillenniumiT implements trading system in Tanzania

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) in Tanzania last month passed an important milestone with the implementation of a new Automated Trading System and a Central Depository System, moving to full automation from an open outcry auction.

Following the delivery and installation of the system hardware BY Sri Lanka’s Millennium Information Technologies (MillenniumIT), the implementation was completed in a record two months.

“We are very happy to be able to use this new technology,” said Jonathan Njau, the Chief Executive Officer of the DSE.
