St. Sebastian’s recovered from a perilous position of 128 for 7 at the lunch break to end their innings on a respectable 182 after being sent into bat. This was in their Elephant Lemonade inter-school cricket encounter against St. Peter’s which began at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
The wrecker in the morning session’s play was left arm leggie Lakshan Rodrigo who took four of the seven wickets before play was stopped for lunch. The late order batting put in some stiff resistance by making some useful contributions to reach a respectable score. Spinner Rodrigo ended with top figures of 7 for 54. The Peterites in their turn ended the day’s play on 103 for 4. The match will be continued at 9.45 a.m. today.
