CSE’s ASPI crosses record 3,000 mark
The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) crossed the 3,000 level for the first time ever on February 13.
The index closed the day at 3,016.4 points, recording a growth of 22.6 points (0.8%) for the day and 294.1 points (10.8%) for the year 2007 to date. The ASPI recorded a growth of 41.6% in the year 2006.
At the close of trading, the Market Capitalization of the CSE surpassed all previous levels to reach an all time high of Rs 916.5 billion. An average daily turnover of Rs. 776.8 million has been recorded this year so far. |
