LECS organizes boat show in the Maldives

Lanka Exhibitions and Conference Services (LECS) through its subsidiary Maldives Exhibitions and Conference Services (MECS) is organizing a boat exhibition this year from May 7-9 in the Maldives.

A LECS spokesman said this will be an exhibition with a difference as it will have water transport solutions to all segments of society; from luxury cruise boats, to heavy goods transport vessels or just small fishing boats - the exhibition will cover it all.
The exhibition is aimed at buyers and visitors not only from the Maldives but also from the region as it is targeted to achieve the standards of the Dubai International Boat Exhibition.

The event will showcase a wide and exclusive range of boats and marine services and will accommodate over a hundred exhibitors from over 30 countries. “The show will draw big names from the regional and international boating and marine industry, and will find its place in the global boat show calendar,” the spokesman said. A number of factors - including the rising popularity of sailing, the growth of the leisure marine lifestyle in the Maldive Islands itself has created a market where demand currently outstrips supply creating major opportunities for boat builders and suppliers.
